KLVN began with Kelvin.
After moving his family from South Africa to England in the 1990s, Kelvin never lost the unmistakable accent, character or connection to where he came from. He had ambitions of opening his own T-shirt printing shop, but never had the opportunity to see the idea through.
When Kelvin passed away, his son Wez wanted to take that ambition one step further.
Not simply a printing shop, but a clothing label built in his name.
KLVN is the continuation of an idea left unfinished. A British lifestyle brand shaped by South African heritage, family and the belief that where you begin can become the foundation for something bigger.
DURBAN.
Our first collection, ORIGINS, takes the story back to Durban, South Africa, where Kelvin and Wez’s journey began.
Passport markings, geographical coordinates and significant dates are reworked into understated graphics. Every detail connects to a real place, memory or moment within their story, but the pieces are designed for anyone who understands the importance of where they come from.
Born from South African heritage and built in Britain, KLVN carries the past forward without being defined by it.
CONSIDERED BY DESIGN.
We create elevated everyday pieces with weight, character and purpose. Relaxed silhouettes, heavyweight cotton and washed finishes give each garment a lived-in quality from its first wear.
The approach is simple: fewer pieces, stronger ideas and details that mean something.
